Children love to learn. If they are denied access to knowledge, we also deny them the opportunity to change their lives for the better.
The Qatar Scholarship Programme in Gaza aimed to effectively build a cadre of educated and trained, civic-minded, intellectually able, and professional leaders to become a community, business, and national /global leaders of the future. The programme availed opportunities for Palestinian university-level students to actualize their professional and leadership potential by overcoming socio-economic, political and cultural limitations.
Beginning in 2009, EAA and UNDP worked together to design a comprehensive programme that linked the provision of scholarships for post-secondary students to other supporting interventions including student services, career guidance, civic engagement, economic empowerment, and various personal and professional development opportunities, including internships and technical training.
